Introducing Assertive.tech — Governed Like Code, Executed Like an AI Agent

Why we built a QA platform where every autonomous action is versioned, reviewable, and reproducible — and how it changes what shipping weekly feels like.

By The Assertive Team

End-to-end tests have always sat awkwardly between two worlds. On one side, deterministic code that reviewers can reason about. On the other, brittle selectors and flaky retries that everyone quietly ignores. Assertive.tech is our attempt to fuse the two — governed like code, executed like an autonomous agent.

The problem with 'AI testing' today

Most AI QA tools optimise for the demo: type a prompt, watch a browser click things. That's exciting for five minutes and terrifying in production. There's no diff, no version, no way to say 'this run behaves exactly like the last one'.

Governance as a first-class feature

Every scenario in Assertive is a versioned artifact. Pin it to a specific agent version, review regenerations side-by-side, approve changelog entries before they ship. Autonomy without an audit trail isn't engineering — it's guessing.

What ships weekly actually feels like

Teams using Assertive tell us the shift isn't 'faster tests'. It's confidence. Merge on Friday afternoon. The autonomous agents re-ground selectors, replay journeys across browsers, and file a governed report before the on-call engineer finishes their coffee.
